"If At First You Don't Succeed . . ."

Do you ever spend a lot of time working on a piece, only to find when you're done, you don't like it? I received lovely gifts for Mother's Day, and thought I'd get busy with some thank-you cards; so I worked on this one tonight and was very disappointed in how it turned out. Sometimes I really like what I've created, but at other times, I think I haven't done a good job. That's okay, though--it just makes me want to do better the next time. I have more cards to make, so I will " . . . Try, Try Again!"

Just found your blog tonight - I do love your work you shared. I think sometimes we are our own toughest critics. I do that to my work all the time :) Looking forward to reading more.

Hugs,

Wow! I think your card is beautiful! I was impressed with all the detail and I love how you have it asymetrical. You did a great job--I agree with Rosalyn-Sue--you are your toughest critic.:-)
Blessings to you and hope to see you in the near future!

Personally, I love it!
(I am amazed at how often stuff I am hesitant to share gets the most appreciative comments. We always second guess our art, I think.)

I think your card is super sweet, but I know how you feel about working hard on something only to be disappointed with the result. Just yesterday I spent several hours on a project and it didn't quite work out the way I'd hoped it would. Thanks for finding my blog because now I found yours. I really appreciate your kind words and hope you will come back again.

Best wishes,

Lisa

I have the same struggles...I have so much inside of me that I want to share creatively, but often have a hard time making the jump from heart to page!
I think your work is beautiful and I am sure anyone who recieves this card will be delighted!
Blessings,
Jan

Your card is quite pretty, really. I have to admit, I was somehow comforted by this post because yesterday I made six cards, only 4 made it to completion...and I don't like any of them. I have to make dozens of samples for my stamp company, some days are like that. Thank you for sharing your heart. I also noticed my banner link on your blog...thank you so much for the encouraging support!
